Hello! My name is

Sally

My name is Sally, and I’m about 10 years old.

I have been in rescue for 4 months now and have spent all of that time getting my health back.  You see, I had been starved down to almost a skeleton and then dumped before someone found me and got me into rescue.  My foster mom filled with me with lots of love and confidence and fed me appropriately to help me slowly gain my weight back.  I had to have quite a few teeth pulled as well.  Now I am at a healthy weight and ready for adoption.

I am a sweet little girl who likes to talk. I am most content when my people are near.  If you are looking for a companion who doesn’t mind being a lap dog, that would be me.  I don’t require a lot of exercise but light exercise is nice.  I am good with other dogs but young dogs wanting me to play will only get a lecture out of me – it’s just not my thing.  I would be best as an only dog or with a dog that is more mature and not wanting to wrestle.

I walk very nicely on leash and am a great companion.  I do sometimes have accidents in the house so it’s important to state that up front.  I’m older.  I do the best I can but sometimes accidents do happen and my new family will need to be understanding of that.  I would be best in a home that understands older dogs and has the heart and income to care for me as I age and has Doberman experience.
