My name is Abby and I am about 10 months old.
I am a very intelligent and playful girl with a lot of energy. I like to play with all sorts of toys and to put all things that I discover into my mouth to see what they are. When I put something in my mouth that I shouldn’t, I often run away from my foster dad so he has to chase me.
I’m strong-minded, maybe some would call it stubborn. The fact is, I would be very happy to run a household if someone were to let me but it would be better if I had confident and patient direction.
I am not confident. I was not well socialized and new things can frighten me.
I stated before that I am a smart girl. I figured out if I press the button by the door it cues my foster dad that I am ready to come inside from doing my bathroom duty. It worked really well on him and he obeyed almost immediately so I felt pretty good about figuring that out.
The truth is, I do not want to run a household. I want to grow up to be a confident well trained, well-adjusted girl who pleases her family. I want an owner who understands the needs of the adolescent and has the patience, confidence and intelligence to train me properly. I will make them so proud if given a chance.
My future family must:
– Be experienced with young Dobies. Recent experience, not something that happened 20 years ago.
– Be patient, confident, consistent and very willing to take me to class or work with the proper trainer.
-No children under 12.
