My
name is Kay and I am 4 years old. I love to cuddle and drink in
attention from people and would make a great companion dog for someone
who could use a friend. I am a great snuggler. I love to please and
always do what I am told. I sit, lay down and kennel on command. I am
often found taking a nap in my kennel with the door open. I don’t steal
food and always gently take treats when they are offered. I sleep on a
dog bed at night on the floor beside my foster mom’s bed. I like to lean
my head up against the bed once and a while just to get a little
attention. I like to chew on bones and love to go for walks or rides in
the car but my favorite thing in the whole world is to be pet and
snuggled by people.
I love
people but I am not willing to learn to love cats. They are just too
much fun to chase. I like to watch the squirrels in the backyard and
sometimes bark at them. I’m sorry, but everyone has their limits and I
draw the line at cats and squirrels.
Other
dogs are ok for awhile but the truth is that I was abused by a dog much
bigger than me and now I am unsure of other dogs. I can be around other
dogs but sometimes get scared so I growl at them to keep them away. I
play with my foster mom’s male Doberman but if the play gets too rough I
get worried. I need to know that I am protected by my people. I am
getting more accepting of other dogs all of the time if they give me a
chance to get to know them.
I am
a great watch dog and will bark at strangers when they enter the house.
However I always stop barking when my people assure that it is okay for
them to come in.
My
dream home is the one where I can snuggle and cuddle for I am sweetness
on four legs.
